
Leo Timms is an Extension Dairy Specialist and Associate Professor of
Animal Sciences at Iowa State University with primary emphasis in milk
quality and mastitis, reproduction, animal health, and dairy records.
Leo is responsible for coordinating Dairy Production Medicine for
seniors at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Lactation in Biology
in the Animal Science Dept.
Leo's research focuses on mastitis and milk quality with recent emphasis
in dry and transition cows and heifers, reproductions and estrus
detection tools, and animal housing and comfort.
Leo has conducted over 3,000 farm consultations in his 19-year tenure at
ISU.
