Laboratory Development

Took the lead in establishing the Biomaterials Lab, Room 142 Davidson, and in securing over $120,000 outside funding for the lab. Worked with Dr. Steve Hoff to plan new Electronics/Electric Power Lab.

Undergraduate Research

Advised or co-advised 16 undergraduate student research projects since 1992 that led to five Mid Central ASAE student paper winners, three ASAE K.K. Barnes Competition winners, a winner and a runner-up in the National Society of Women Engineers Technical Paper Competition, and four refereed publications.

Honors

Served as College Honors Committee chair for engineering (93-95) and agriculture (95-96). Took the lead in developing a judged oral presentation requirement for Honors projects done by students in both colleges. Took the lead in developing Ag Honors Guide.
