Scholarships
The support of over 200 individuals and corporations maintains an engineering scholarship endowment of nearly $9 million. From these and other funds the engineering college awards more than 900 scholarships totaling more than $1.3 million each year. Agricultural engineering students can apply for scholarships provided by the College of Engineering.
Similar support for an agriculture scholarship endowment is nearly $8 million. From these and other funds, the agriculture college awards over 1000 scholarship totaling more than $1.5 million each year. Agricultural system technology students can apply for scholarships provided by the College of Agriculture.
Both agricultural engineering and agricultural system technology students can apply for scholarships provided by Ag & Biosystems Engineering department. Outstanding freshmen and transfer students may apply for a Wessman Memorial Scholarship. Scholarships range from $500 to full tuition and are awarded to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The Iowa Section of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers also sponsors several scholarships for students in both majors.
